Finalista de "American Idol" morre aos 42 anos

Nikki McKibbin, ex-concorrente do "American Idol", morreu aos 42 anos.

A notícia foi avançada pelo TMZ, no passado domingo, dia 1, e refere que a cantora morreu, na sequência de um aneurisma cerebral.

Nikki McKibbin participou na primeira temporada do programa "American Idol", em 2002, tendo ficado nos três primeiros lugares. A vencedora foi Kelly Clarkson.

No Instagram, Justin Guarini, que ficou em segundo lugar, prestou uma emotiva homenagem à cantora: "Teve uma vida desafiadora, e muitas pessoas não foram gentis com ela, ao longo do caminho."

No Twitter do concurso "American Idol" foi, igualmente, partilhada uma mensagem de condolências pela morte da cantora: "Nikki tinha um talento incrível, e estamos profundamente consternados pela sua morte. Ela fazia parte da família 'American Idol', e sentiremos a sua falta. Os nossos pensamentos estão com os seus amigos e familiares."

Nikki was on cloud nine and the joy and excitement that radiated from her was infectious.
